First Dump of the Year !

Hello hello, and happy 2012! Get ready for a bit of a longer post!

An art-doll from Canti, from the manga and anime, FLCL. This was a gift for my sister, sculpted over a wooden art mannequin.

Caro, my Deku Scrub character. She is sculpted from Super Sculpey and adorned with cloth leaves, and pipe-cleaner and thread vines. Deku Scrubs are from the Legend of Zelda games.

More Deku Scrubs, created in the same fashion as Caro but modeled after the original games.

A Flea art doll for a dear friend! Again, she is sculpted over a wooden art mannequin, with yarn hair and clothing!

The horrifying moon from Majora's Mask! This was a sculpted gift for my brother this year.

A little gift for a dear friend, of her characters in a jar! The jar is 3.5x2.5" tall, and the characters are barely an inch tall.

My mother's gift! A little scene modeled after her two golden retrievers, playing in the snow.

A 3.5x2.5" jar sculpture for my father, featuring snowy owls. These are seriously fun to do.

A sun bear bobblehead for a dear friend! This was definitely a fun experience and I'm very happy with the results.

A tiny oil painting.

My first oil painting!

Otters! Acrylics on wood.

Turkey Vulture head. Acrylics on a tiny canvas.

Rejuvenation. Ink, colored pencil, and watercolors.
That's all for now! Tune in next time ;3

Another art dump, before the grand year-end Christmas art dump! Magical, huh?

A 15"x11" wedge of wood, commissioned for a woman who works in wildlife rehabilitation. I would certainly like to get back into doing more wood-paintings! (Also I never cut down trees for my pieces- these are from fallen trees in my neighborhood!)

I used a 2.5x3.5" candle jar to create this little scene of two turkey vultures in flight.

My Crocodile-headed woman, in "doll"-form! A small wooden art mannequin was used as the base for this.

A tea-light holder commission, done for a close friend.

This Halloween I took several commissions just like this one. Jack-o-Lantern animal sculptures stand at about 3" tall!

A gift for my man. The Tardis is from Doctor Who!

My crocodile-headed woman, out for a swim. Watercolors, colored pencil and ink.

Magpie Muse! Watercolors and ink.

This was a bit of an experiment for myself to use several of the art skills I know to all go into one piece. I do like the outcome!

That's all for now! Thanks for visiting~!

Time for a big update!

I've been so busy this year that I haven't uploaded anything! Oops! Time to rectify that...
A Barred Owl Bard! Ink, colored pencil, and just a little bit of watercolor paint for the sky. My father now owns the original.

Ink, colored pencil and watercolors.

An acrylic painting of a crocodile-headed woman. Or a woman bodied crocodile?

My largest acrylic painting to date, on 22"x28" canvas board. Based on a dream I had only days prior.

The Frozen Flame, as a tea light holder for a very old friend. The Frozen Flame is property of Square Soft, from their game Chrono Cross.

Tropical Paradise incense stick holder!

Moon-Eater; acrylic paint on canvas.

Mantis Love. A tiny acrylic painting, on 8"x8" canvas!

Self, in ink.

As the image says- this is an American Toad tea light holder! A pleasure to work on for a commissioner.

In a Dream. Ink and watercolors, for a trade with a lovely artist.

Vultures at Dusk. Based on a scene I witnessed just outside my house. Acrylics on 8x8" canvas.

Expect a second art-dump soon!
